Fair 4.0
Very Noisy but clean room
Location is very central and room is clean. But room needs to be equipped with noise-proof windows. Room was facing Leon street, which is extremely noisy particularly at night even with window shut; hard to get any sleep. When booking make sure to request a room NOT facing Leon street. I would not stay again if room races Leon street.

Very Good 8.0
Very convenient location. Spotless room.
The room and bathroom were absolutely spotless. Bare bones room with a TV, desk, table lamp and convenient room safe. The bed was clean but mattress was very firm, a bit too firm for us. The double bed had a single super long pillow that made it tough for the two of us to sleep as we prefer to each have our own pillows. The TV volume is restricted to a low level which made watching it difficult. Our room (No. 12) was quiet and faced the interior courtyard but the squeaky clothesline outside the window was accessed by the housekeeper both mornings we were there. All that being said, I would definitely recommend the Hostal San Antonio for an affordable but simple stay for a couple of nights in Madrid.
