Great place to stay

Location is a plus and minus.
We liked the hotel very much. We had some difficulty getting to and from the hotel. The old city gates were closed to traffic due to a celebration so we had to walk in with our luggage. We took advantage of the shuttle service to the airport (additional cost but fine) but had some confusion as to where to meet the shuttle. The breakfast was good. The location inside the Old City walls was great for walking around the city on our last day in Israel. We would stay here again.

Amazing breakfast! Soup and freshly squeezed orange juice and lemonade when you arrive are nice as well.

Great location, needs better service
The location is amazing, to wake up in the middle of such an amazing place is priceless. We did have some issues with the service. We arrived on a saturday and we were able to access the room at 10pm. I think if the hotel is going to accept international guests, they should foresee this issues or at least to inform us before hand. One day we did not have towels in the room. Another day there were not enough toiletries and the water bottles, which were supposed to be included, were available only on two days. Overall the service needs to be highly improved.

Positives and negative's at the Sephardic
The positives were that it is in a great area, the service was excellent and responded quickly to our needs, and that it was air-conditioned which is a must in Israel in July. The negatives include no elevator, although they are currently building one, which is very tough to deal with with luggage. The hotel is located next to a parking lot, one of the few in the old city, and it is noisy in the morning with cars honking to be let out at the turnstile.finally, Wi-Fi is very poor and that was a daily frustration.
