Perfect retreat
Perfect in every way except you definitely want a car (free parking) so you can visit surrounding places.

Amazing Place to Stay
You will step back in time and be immersed in history and luxury. The rooms are beyond comfortable although I did experience not enough hot water to fill the bathtub - a bit disappointing given the surroundings. We enjoyed the afternoon tea - be sure to ask about the price of champagne per glass or a bottle if you choose or you will be charged heavily by the glass. The breakfast is first class. You won't be disappointed.

Upscale and comfortable
Truly special hotel not too far from London. Beautiful and comfortable room. Best lighting in a bathroom ever - you can actually see well! Staff was extremely accommodating- when we arrived I had hoped to have tea and a scone. The woman at the desk informed me that the service ended 30 minutes before my arrival but the chef was around the corner, heard me, and came out to tell me he would be happy to make me scones! Our bags were whisked upstairs and we were taken care of very nicely. Very warm staff - the service and place is upscale yet very comfortable and not stuffy. Delicious dinners. Nice walk into nearby fields or the small town, close drive to nice strolling/shopping in Arundel. I hope we go back someday!

Very Good 8.0
Beautiful property
The property is beautiful and our suite was also. There were some negatives though. When we checked in, we weren’t told about the high tea so we missed it. We also weren’t told we had to reserve 3 months in advance if we wanted to have dinner there! As for service, our $750/night suite had a few problems. The lights by the buffet with coffee and tea didn’t work and it was quite dark in that area. I asked two different people to fix it and both said they’d get someone over. Nobody ever came. I also asked for more still water (since you get sparkling and still) and the guy said he’d bring it right over. He didn’t. You don’t make tea or coffee with sparkling water! Also the jets in the beautiful tub didn’t work! These things were very disappointing since we paid so much. On the bright side, breakfast was fantastic and the castle itself is very interesting. We walked all around. I would have loved to go on their History Tour of the property but they don’t do it off season and again we were told it has to be reserved well in advance! They need to work on communication!

Quiet country luxury
Short overnight stay to relax and get away to the country. Exceptional setting, attentive staff and indulgent food make this a luxurious place to get away and lose yourself. Highly recommended!
