Very frustrating!
I stayed at the Corner House Hotel for work for the first time Thursday 30th August/Friday 31st August, as I was working in the area and all was ok-little rough around the edges but it’s a budget hotel-I’m only sleeping there! Rooms are very hot but not the end of the world! The work got extended so I booked again for me and a colleague Sunday/Monday night and I have to say, disappointing and frustrating! We got there fairly late on the Sunday night, (having booked Saturday midday) to be told there was no record of our booking,we were asked when we booked and showed the receptionist the booking confirmation, and he kept trying to tell us that it says here we booked it at Sunday 15:00... even though it said check in FROM 15:00... (which is irrelevant anyway as it was well after 15:00!!!) In the end he said we’d sort it tomorrow. My colleague’s room key then didn’t work, after three separate attempts... The following night I asked for a fork to eat some takeaway and he said that they didn’t have any... despite the fact they serve breakfast everyday. All in all despite the convienence in terms of location it will be a matter of last resort coming back here!

Poor 2.0
We arrived at the hotel and in the room we found a double bed, one small pillow each. This does not suffice for us (or many people) and i've never in my life been to a hotel where they only supply you with one pillow. The bed was also incrdibly hard which has caused me some back pain in the following few days, which i understand may be out of your immediate control but it is something to think about. Our bathrooms toilet seat would not stay still when sitting on it, it was sliding off to the side. Our shower also kept falling out of the holder when in use, and the curtain had segments missing meaning water was often bouncing out of the bath. Also, we ran out of toilet paper in the evening of the night so did not have any for the morning. There needs to be spare, one roll is ridiculous. Our room on the whole was very warm, no offer/anything to try and keep us cool during the night. The window did work, however traffic outside the property meant we could not keep the window open. I also asked to borrow an iron (despite it being advertised there should be an iron in your room) which i was supplied with and then had to take the iron and ironing board up 2 flights of stairs, only to find out the ironing board was incredibly dirty so i was not able to use. Breakfast was very poor. Plastic plates and cutlery. Just toast and cereal. not worth the £6. Overall very poor. would not stay here again

Soooo rude - don’t go
Reception was rude, misunderstanding on rooms and did not listen to customer. Was disregarded. Booked two rooms completely opposite from each other asked to change and not listened too. Top room did not have black out blind so sun shining in from dawn. Shower only usable if you are under 4 foot! No lift. On fifth floor, key didn’t work, and had to go to reception to resolve. Room key didn’t work a second time, and rang for assistance (bearing in mind climbed fifth floor twice now), I rang reception, he was unhelpful on phone, slammed the phone down on me not once but three times!!!! Did not offer to help. Friend had to climb stairs a third time so fix ourselves. The only time anyone was nice to us is when we went to leave, which I didn’t engage in conversation - so rude, will never return!

Good 6.0
hotel with parking in Camden !
Quite a big hotel, 24hr reception, staff friendly. Room big and clean (noisy from busy Camden road but not much can be done about that!) Everything worked as it should. Room was very warm (weather was warm!) maybe benefit from a fan, but didn't ask so one could have been available. Its basic, but towels, bed linen tea and coffee supplied - hairdryer in the room and a very handy small fridge! About a 10 minute walk to the nearest tube but bus stops all down the road. 20 minute walk to Holloway road. Lots pubs about and plenty eating places on Holloway Road. Big bonus was parking (£10/night) Breakfast is continental, not a lot to choose from, toast, cheese, ham and 3 cereals. Orange juice, tea and coffee (cups etc are in the cupboards underneath - which isn't labelled so you have to hunt them out!) Looks like they are under refurbishment and when done it will be a large hotel with plenty of space. In a nutshell - we'd stay there again!

Very Good 8.0
Great value for money option for a stay in Camden
When you consider the price of the stay,i'd say overall the experience of this hotel is good,on first view the bed seemed low to the floor, however it was lovely, the firm mattress i loved & having got home the next day i actually missed that bed. What i found particularly nice and good and handy was the refrigerator in the room,a lovely touch i've not experienced elsewhere. My only complaint would be the toilet being so close to the bath made it all rather cramped, not at all comfortable or practical, also regards the refreshments in the room, there was coffee however there were not any ordinary tea bags, only Green tea,tea bags provided. The breakfast available was more than acceptable again given the room costs,i was more than happy with coffee, orange juice along with toast and butter, there were also cereals available, ham and cheese so enough to start your day off nicely. Overall i'd recommend this hotel,i was also impressed with the lack of outside noise, something i'd thought may of been a concern, but it was not at all.
