Decent hotel in one of the hutongs in Beijing
It's a nice midrange hotel located in one of the hutongs in the Dongcheng District in Beijing. It is a little difficult to find because of its location in a hutong. There is also a hotel close by with a similar name of this hotel so you may be confused by that. I stayed for 4 nights. The bedroom was large. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size. Like the hotel's name says, it does have a historical and nostalgic feel to it. The hotel is right by a school that has a large basketball court. There is also a black gate by the hotel entrance. I only mention this because it will help you find it if you stay at this hotel. The hotel's address according to the hotel's brochure is No. 57 Jiaodaokoubeisantiao Doncheng District of Beijing. The staff was helpful but their English skills were minimal but they try their best to help you. The room has Wi-Fi but I couldn't get it to work on my tablet. It worked fine on my smartphone. I wouldn't recommend for first time tourists to China. This hotel is only for people that are willing to step out of their comfort zones and willing to try something different. Last thing, according to the hotel brochure they call it Nostalgia Hotel Beijing.

The hotel was very nice-clean and comfortable- and the staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is the best part! You can wander around for days trying the different foods and going into the little shops. We really enjoyed our time here!

Very 1980 themed
Lovely stay, excellent location, close to food street "Ghost Street", Tibetan temple Yong he palace, and ancient department of education complex. Easy transport, close to 2 subway stations. Room decor and items are very 1980-ish. The candy, drink, phone, lamp, all very "old timer". Clean, quiet. FYI. There is no microwave, no fridge.

Nice hotel in hutong area.
Very welcoming staff. Nice room and great location. Very good breakfast buffet for a great price. It is in a very historic area of Beijing. Many good places to eat nearby.

Would not stay again
Hotel was poorly located in some winding, confusing back alleys. The area seemed safe, but taxis wouldn’t go in there so had to wander around looking for it myself. Hotel was old and outdated. Poor design in bathroom where everything gets soaked and saw bugs. Bed was ok. Toiletries given was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. But I wouldn’t stay here again.
