most be able to traverse potentially uneven paving
Great location and central to many fun things. Only drawback was how to enter our unit. We are used to walking stairs (this case 3rd of 5 floors) but using the entrance next to the reception office, main door, involved having to walk thru the building, go outside, ascend some precarious wooden steps, walk thru a courtyard with uneven cement, dirt, and tile paving where cars are parked, then thru a tunnel space to the stairs to the room. ALL of this done in the dark, except for my cellphone flashlight. The other route is easier to traverse but the very very large wooden gate doors are difficult to lock, again no lights. Otherwise the staff were helpful, courteous, exceptional. Breakfast for 6 Euro each was fabulous. Hot water runs out fast too.

Three amigos
This was by far the least expensive and most spacious hotel we had on our European trip. We had to open the windows at times to let some cool air in, which also brought a lot of noise, but this was not a big deal. We stayed in a loft style room on the 5th floor (there are 151 stairs to the fifth floor, I counted) which was great for us. The location was also roughly equidistant between the touristy type places we wanted to see and also the gay bars we were there to enjoy. We walked pretty much everywhere, but there was also the Museum station right outside that provides easy transport in the city. Hotel had parking in a hidden courtyard which was good, but it was a tight fit getting the car in there. I would definitely stay here again.

Ok
Not bad but I was in the building 2 doors down instead of the main building and there was NO aircon on the hottest days/nights of the summer. I put my mattress on the floor near the window to sleep with the fan blowing from the outside. The room was large and decent. Also, there aren’t lifts in the 2nd building and I had to carry my luggage up 4 flights of large spiral stairs and couldn’t find my room for at least 5 minutes bc there weren’t signs or lights (I arrived late at 5 am) However, the staff is very friendly and the restaurant attached to the hotel is good. The rooftop is also nice. The area is good as well but it’s not old town. It’s easy to take a tram a few stops up though

Nice room, but unbearable temperature
The room was very very hot. There were two small fans that really didn’t help much. It was barely tolerable with the windows open, but that wasn’t a safe option at night since the room was facing the street. Pedestrians could walk down the road and make eye contact with you if the windows were open. At night we were worried drunk pedestrians may throw something into the windows, so we had to keep them closed and it was extremely hot. We purposely chose a 5am train in order to leave the hotel early. Honestly the place wasn’t that bad itself, but the heat made it really difficult to enjoy. The room was clean and the shower definitely ran cold water which was the only way to get some relief from the heat. The customer service was also nice and helpful, that’s why I can give it 3 good stars!
