Fabulous but skip afternoon tea
The ambience in the hotel is perfect and the staff is very professional. Breakfast is great but the afternoon tea in the bar is nothing short of terrible from start to finish. The waiters are more interested in slinging cocktails than scones and the food is really poor quality. As are the cocktails with the tea, which was a shock from one of the alleged best bars in the world, lacking creativity, every one the same profile and zero complexity. After waiting over half an hour for sandwiches, they wanted me to move for a party reservation. Tea was a major fail

Fabulous hotel!
Gorgeous hotel with trendy, classy bars/restaurants/lounges. Terrific location right on the river. Excellent service all around. Comfy beds, stylish rooms. The only minor thing I would change is the half wall shower - I know it's a trend with hotels, but your guests use more towels mopping up the water that inevitably goes on the floor. Again, minor thing, overall it was a great stay!

Disappointing customer service
We were stuck in Lincoln during Storm Ciara. Train to Lincoln cancelled so we could not get to London to stay in this hotel. We called in advance and they knew it was beyond our control but would not refund the night. Can’t review the room because we never got to see it but I can say the customer service during a weather crisis was very disappointing. Won’t book here again.
