Dining area wouldn't seat us 5-10 minutes before 9:00. Seems too early to close for dinner. Staff wasnt any help to notify us of short time when aurora was out. All other hotels we stayed at around island did this. Didn't see anything about parking for rental car at hotel.

I was on the 15th floor, in iceland you pay a premium to get a room with a bathroom. I am not comfortable with a shared bathroom personally. Found staff friendly and helpful. Amazing views of Reykjavik from my room and out in the lobby....

The check in/check out process was so easy. Front desk staff was amazing. Liked the walkability and location of the Fosshotel Reykjavik to restaurants, stores and interesting history/notable areas (Rainbow St, street art, Sea Voyager, church, handknitting store). The rooms were comfortable and you had an amazing breakfast buffet that also included dairy free, vegan and guten free so something for everyone as a reasonable price. There are 2 bars which also serve lite meals so when the weather was windy or rainy could eat in. Did not do the buffet in the fine dining restaurant as too expensive for us. My only complaint is there was no electrical outlet in the bathroom as I had brought a European curling iron and could not reach from the one in the main room to the full length mirror. Also no USB plugs available anywhere in the room! Otherwise I would have given a 5!!

This is a great location - close to bus stop 12 for any tours, and walking distance to the main strip. The staff is so incredibly helpful - from booking tours or helping with special occasions! It is also nice to have a place to grab a bite or beer right in the hotel. The only downside are the hard beds! I would stay again for convenience and helpfulness!
