A convenient full service hotel
Great hotel in good area. Easy walking to downtown without the noise. Friendly staff. Rooms well appointed but need a more comfortable chair.

the weather was so cold and windy during our stay, but our hotel was so nice and cosy with the perfect amenities.

Hotel is fine but not located near tourist section
We stayed here twice- before and after a tour. For the pre night, we did not like it. Our room was right beside construction, it was on a Sunday so there was no construction going on, thankfully, but the view was terrible. It had a bathtub and a separate shower which was nice but the bath gel, shampoo, etc. are in bottles fastened to the wall of the shower- nothing for the bath tub. I went down to the lobby to get little bottles of that, and they did give it to me, but it took them a while to find it. Whoever designed that bathroom wasn’t thinking. We spent a week in Reykjavik before the night in this hotel so we knew where the tourist section was, and it is not where this hotel is located. There are very few restaurants near this hotel either. We ate in the same restaurant three times. There is a restaurant in this hotel- buffet dinner is very expensive- and we didn’t know u had to make reservations- so it was full. We did eat at a bar type restaurant here, and the food was good. We stayed here after our trip, and we had a post night paid for and a night we were paying for ourselves- which was a higher grade- a view- than our post night. I was prepared to pack up for our second night that we were paying for, but the man at the front desk could not have been nicer and kept us in the same nicer room for both nights.
