Scotland 2017
Rooms were very clean and roomy. The beds were a little firmer than a like, but I found all the beds along our tour of Scotland to be pretty firm. The breakfast was very nice with cereals, fresh fruit and pastries or typical Scottish breakfast of eggs, tomatoes, toast and bacon. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk to great pubs and shopping district. No elevators or lifts, so pack light!

Overall, the hotel was okay. The location was good, just a short walk from the city center, and the staff was friendly. However, there were some issues that I could not overlook, especially considering the price paid. The main issues were: - Room had only one small window in an inconvenient location, which made the room extremely dark unless the main lights were on. - Said window faced the inside of the hotel (i assume since it was too high up for me to see out of) so that when it was open I could very clearly hear and smell everything going on inside the hotel (other guests, breakfast, dinner, maintenance) - No control over room temperature, so if I wanted the room to be cooler, I had to have the window open, exposing me to sounds and smells of the hotel - Water pressure in the shower was absolute abysmal. Took twice as long for me to wash properly and even then I still felt like I did not get all of the soap out of my hair - Finally, the toilet made periodic loud sounds. Flushing initially caused a very loud scraping sound and then the water would seem to run on and off for about 45 mins.

Incredible service at a classic Scottish hotel
Beaufort Hotel is a lovely hotel just outside of the noise and bustle of the club and restaurant district of Inverness. It is an uphill walk, though, so be prepared. The room was clean and quaint, with a newer bathroom. The bed itself wasn't new, however, and could do with replacing soon. But I still got a good night's sleep. The service was impeccable. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of choices. Wifi in the hotel was always dependable. The best part of my stay was being directed by the staff to the path across the street that led to the river walk below, and to the islands in the River Ness. So convenient for those who enjoy a run on a sunny morning!

Absolutely wonderful!
My stay was only one night which was a shame. This place was absolutely wonderful. It was tucked away nicely. I was the last one to check in-and was greeted by name the next morning. My room was exactly what I needed and the provided toiletries were lovely. Breakfast was exactly what I ordered and the Owner was very helpful with directions in the morning. I would absolutely stay here again and would (and will) tell everyone I know!
