The Golden Rock hotel is a gem off the beaten path and well worth the experience. Ambience was exquisite with garden and interior design to the nines. Our girls loved the secret nooks and crannies among the plants. Delicious food and lovely staff.

We stayed in their sugar mill suite and it was amazing! Parts of the estate were built in the early 1800s, but everything has been beautifully updated to showcase the style and architecture from the original plantation. The staff was very helpful in arranging transportation, providing a tour of the estate, and assisting when needed. We ate at the restaurant which was quite good. Overall the service was fantastic and the old buildings are incredible.

We enjoyed our stay, as the atmosphere was very relaxing, in the midst of Forest like surroundings, with monkeys hopping over the trees, lizards walking in front of us. Trees and bushes immediately surrounding us with no space empty other than the tiny walkway. It rained every night.Place was very close to the beach.
