Cramped quarters
Other than being a decent location, our stay was downhill from there. When we arrived, the first thing we were told was "we don't really have breakfast." There was a kitchen counter with cookies and some packaged pastries and instant coffee and tea bags. Self serve. Actually this "B and B" is an apartment, on part of one floor of a 5 floor building, that has had each of the 4 rooms converted into bedrooms and our room was very small, with no place to put any clothes other than a few hangers. Other residents of the building had a roof party one night and it was impossible for us to sleep. We saw the owner on check in and not again until the night before we left, only to confirm our transportation. This is definitely not a place worth the cost and we would not return.

Loved it!
Chose this place based on location (a block from the Colosseum and metro) and pictures available online (seemed cozy) and it did not disappoint. A few days before, Dario contacted me about approximate check in time and when I told him that I was already in town and was able to check in asap, he was very accommodating and let me check in early so I wouldn't have to leave my things at the hostel I was staying at (the room was still being cleaned but I was able to drop off my things). Dario was very nice and welcoming and he was so quick to answer the several emails I sent. As for the room, it was very cozy, and I felt safe in the neighborhood (I was traveling alone). The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a small kitchen where you can cook and was stocked with light breakfast items. Best of all, on the roof 1 floor up is an amazing view of the Colosseum. It was beautiful at night and I wish I had enough time to just sit and relax up there. My only issue was that initially it was a bit hard to find but then again, the other 2 places I stayed in Rome were even harder to find so it wasn't that big a deal. It's on the 5th floor of an apartment and the sign is on the buzzer/doorbell outside the big double doors. I would absolutely stay here again!

Cute B & B in Rome
Our stay at Parco di Nerone was wonderful! Dario greeted us at the elevator and helped us settle in after a very long day of traveling. He showed us where everything was and took us up to the roof top for beautiful view of the Coloseum. Everything was clean and bed was very comfortable and quiet. There is a taxi service at the end of street in front of the Coloseum. There are several restaurants around the location and bank down the street. There is the Hop on Hop Off bus stop just a short walk. I would recommend this little B & B for a wonderful stay in Rome.

Great location
Was surprised to discover hotel was on the 5th floor, as internet information did not mention that. Owners to update that. Owners were very accommodating and helpful with our questions. Coliseum was 1/2 block away, and several eating places within 1 block. Easy access to hop-on-hop-off bus.

Location, View from Terrace!!!!
Wow! What a great location! A half block from the colosseum. Walking distance to the colosseum metro (subway) stop. And the view of the colosseum from the hotel terrace is absolutely splendid! We walked to the colosseum and the forum/Palatine hill easily. if you are walkers, Capitolene Hill, the Pantheon, and even Trestavere are in walking distance from the hotel. Otherwise, the metro station is there to take you where you want to go. You can see the hotel roof from Palatine hill. Rooms are small, but we still had plenty of room for all of our stuff and it was not a problem. The kitchen area is shared amongst other guests and there is a microwave, popup toaster, electric kettle, and refrigerator available for use. Snacks, pastries, tea, and coffee provided. Lots of restaurants nearby and two supermarkets around the other side of the block. A post office is about 2 blocks down from the hotel. The in room guide gives all the details for how to get around and where to find restaurants and shops. Be sure you have given your arrival time because there is not really a "front desk lobby". This bed and breakfast is on the fifth floor and you must ring the bell for access when you first arrive. But if you haven't given your estimated arrival time, there's a possibility that you will have to wait or call. We did not have any issues because we gave an arrival time. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It's so easy to get to all the historic sites from this hotel. The air conditioner works great, by the way. The owners speak English very well and will help you arrange a car service, taxi, locate shops, etc. WiFi worked great and fast.
