Last resort
June 2017, Calcedonian room. Choose this location as a last resort. It is far from everything. No lift, close to Haymarket train station. 5 people for 3 nights. Room was spacious and beds are comfortable. All communication occurs via phone, this includes checkin, checkout and questions. No room cleaning happens if you are not present. No one is onsite except for the cleaning staff member at times when you are most likely out.

Great value, walk to castle
We had a family of four and limited time. The hotel is a five minute walk from the castle, there is grocery shopping, restaurants and coffee houses nearby. Very spacious suite! I wish I realized earlier that the kitchen has a built in washing machine... Great value!

Three nights in Edinburgh ,
Within walking distance of the main Edinburgh attractions, the apartment was clean and comfortable and an ideal place to stay.

Poor2.0
Tiny, basic and like sleeping in a dormitory
This was really quite disastrous. I checked out after one night. The room, Pentland 2, is at the back of the property. There is a makeshift kitchenette which is passable, and a bedroom with en suite bathroom. The bedroom is adjoined to the other ground floor apartment by a door, which has had a freestanding wardrobe placed in front of it to hide it. Unfortunately this does nothing to soundproof the room. It felt like I was sharing the room with the young couple next door. They were not overly loud or inconsiderate, but EVERY. SINGLE. SOUND can be heard. And I really didn't want to join their amorous activities at 6.30am but I had no choice. There is no sense of being in your own space at all. To add to this the room overlooks a car park which is floodlit all night, so the room is lit up like daylight all night long, the jangling from the light fitting every time someone upstairs had the audacity to move about their room and the fact the pillows are like bricks, I couldn't stay any longer. The room was rudimentary at best, but clean with hot water. It's a pity the sink and shower can't drain quicker than the water coming out the tap (a pet hate of mine), but I could have accepted this if I'd not been paying over £100 a night for the privilege of sharing my space with other people.
