Is safety, comfort or convenience important to you
Parking is off site so we made a couple of trips to bring things in. On second trip, owner/manager of property was a few steps ahead of us and did not hold door. Perhaps an unfortunate oversight, so we gave the benefit of the doubt. We dropped our things quickly and headed to dinner because we were leaving at 4:30 a.m. for a fishing trip. There was a bag of dirty linens in hall outside our door. We returned to the hotel around 9 p.m. Their was no water in the toilet and no way to flush. They got the plumbing working getting us in bed at 10 p.m. The only lock on the door was the knob. No secondary lock and the key was a standard residential door key. The toilet ran constantly and so loudly we got up at 10:30 and shut off the water supply. We were up at 3:45 to head out for the day. We discovered the shower water was lukewarm at best after running for 20 minutes. Definitely not hot. The room was cold but there was no thermostat, only a window a/c unit. We rang the office bell downstairs (desk is not open 24 hours) to discuss the situation but no response. We had reserved for two nights but knew we wouldn't be staying. We didn't have cell service on the fishing vessel so when we returned at 6 p.m. we were told that they wouldn't refund our 2nd night, were very dismissive of concerns and that they couldn't rerent room tonight. We reached a compromise of $49 cleaning fee and remainder of 2nd night refunded. Overall lacked safety, comfort, convenience and service.
