Good stay, nice people :)
It’s a small, simple boutique hotel. A little aged as compared to the pictures, but overall it’s a clean and comfortable place to stay. Location is at the quieter side of the old city, yet it’s quite convenient with food, massage places, 7-11 just nearby. Mattress is a bit hard and that’s what we like, but we didn’t like the pillows as they are too soft and thin. Linen material is comfortable. Nonetheless, we had good sleep. Breakfast is simple which is sufficient. Lee, the manager, cooks one of the best fried rice and Pad Thai. Love it! :) Service is very good. We had tour where the pick up time was very early at 6.30am. Lee was accommodating and very kind to prepare breakfast early just for us. Thank you so much! All the staffs there are nice and friendly. Made us felt at home. Definitely the choice for anyone who is going Chiang Mai!

Wonderful, Quiet Hotel in Chiang Mai
I went to Chiang Mai to finish a writing project, so I was looking for a quiet place to work that also had access to great cafés, inspiring cultural sites, and low-key nightlife. The Peaberry was a the perfect home base, removed enough from the craziness to get work done, but a short walk or or red car ride away from major attractions. Room was comfortable and clean, with a good bed, wifi, and A/C. Window looked out on a green backyard full of trees. There was a 7-11 down the street for my snacking needs, and best of all, a killer outdoor café around the corner (Bird's Nest). Staff were incredibly helpful, recommending good restaurants with live music and calling me taxis, red cars, and once even an Uber to make sure I arrived safely with the best rate. They even arranged a driver for my 4:00 AM trip to the airport to catch a 6:00 AM flight. Couldn't have been more friendly and enjoyable to see every day when I got up and came home--it's the same staff every day, and I felt like I knew them. There's a family feel about the place. By night, it's removed from the craziness of the backpackers, but that's good. A short taxi or red car ride away on the north side is the Northgate Jazz Coop with live music every night and some cool rooftop bars. To the left of the hotel's front door is a cool local bar with a resident sweet dog... where $5 buys a mixer, a bucket of ice, and a bottle of local whisky. This is a great, friendly, chill hotel.

If your favorite family member owned a hotel.....
Loved our week love stay at this family owned, 10room hotel. Rooms are immaculate and service is truly impeccable. Finn helped with tour arrangements and made great suggestions. He was so engaging and went the extra mile. Stephanie greeted us with a warm smile, and gave us terrific restaurant suggestions. And Cake, he ensured we got where we wanted go with A giant smile. We loved being greeted each day by the hotel owners and their little daughter. What a sweet family. Look, loads of hotels are clean and comfortable. Loads of hotels serve breakfast and have great people working there. There is something special that is quite family like at the Peaberry that is wonderful. We have been traveling for almost 3 months in Asia and this is one of our favorite places. We honestly would have extended if we were not committed to our next stops. This place knows what the word hospitality means and that it comes from the heart.

Great boutique hotel with fantastic staff.
The owners made this hotel experience a fantastic one. They are both very friendly and helpful. We loved that they are always around and if they see you walking in or out they always come by to say hi and see how your day was. They have bikes parked in front for guests to use for free and plenty of umbrellas in case it rains. The room was nice and cozy. The bathroom was cleaned daily and the shower and sink were modern and worked well. The only improvement I can think of is that the bed sheets weren't changed regularly and the bed was really hard. But these are minor issues and we're definitely not a deal breaker. I loved this place and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. They'll also help you book excursions and give great suggestions as to what's going on in town on a per night basis.

This is a great boutique hotel just inside the western Wall of the old city. Lee is a very attentive manager and she always seems to be around if you need something. The in-house breakfast was excellent each day and the fried rice we had one morning was amazing. The location of the hotel makes it very walkable to a lot of attractions in the city such as temples and markets. The room was comfortable with a comfortable bed and big shower. For being on a busy road there was very little traffic noise. The only issues we had with the hotel was the lack of a pool which would have been nice due to the heat in this country and the fact that it's so well placed in the neighborhood that can drivers can't find it. The latter problem is easily solved with a phone and Google maps which I had to do on several occasions. Overall this was a great hotel for our stay. Quaint and value priced, this is a very good option for couples or possibly a small group to experience the history and culture of Chiang Mai.
