Not so Good
This hotel was in an excellent location and COVID precautions were taken. That is the good. Here are the negatives. The room was about ten by ten square feet, enough for a queen bed and a very narrow wall table, no nightstands, fridge, coffee maker, nor closet. We had to keep our water in a shared fridge on the first floor. The room had a musty odor that was rather uncomfortable. I opened the window to let in some air and found no screen with lots of cobwebs and a huge spider. The bathroom was so small that there were no more than three inches between the toilet and shower door which had to be moved each time the toilet was needed. I found myself wanting to be outside the room as much as possible. There was a ten dollar a day charge for parking.

Cool boutique hotel - small rooms though
Nice boutique hotel; perfect location walking distance to beach and downtown shopping/restaurants on State Street. Room was pretty small though and did not include several amenities including in-room coffee maker, iron, closet hangers - plus the window was ziptied shut so couldn't open to get any fresh air and the window blind did not cover the whole window so got pretty bright in our room at 6am. Fridge available in the lobby to store food/wine. On-site parking was $10 (recommend just parking on the street overnight) They also did not offer morning coffee service in the lobby due to Covid - so it would have been nice to maybe at least get a voucher for local coffee store for their guests. Overall cool vibe, nice place!

Great location but otherwise no thrills
The location is very close to the beach in the "Funk Zone" and the staff is nice but the rooms are likely among the smallest ones we ever stayed in! They were hip but really not functional! No hangers for clothes, no fridge or minibar, hardly any storage place..plus you hear your neighbors loud and clear inside the bathroom

great place to stay!
this is a great hotel! it's funky in a good way, clean and has really good atmosphere. My daughter enjoyed her bunk bed. The location is great - short walk to the beach and the State street shops and restaurants. the only drawback is it's proximity to the highway, that is a bit noisy.

aside the intoxicated female banging on a door in the middle of the night & scarring my kids it was pretty nice.

Good for 1 or 2 people
We were traveling with a 12 year old and thought a private room would be big enough...boy were we fooled. These rooms are ok for single or couples, but that's it.

Chic, Colorful, Fun Hotel for Couples
The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were beautifully and uniquely decorated. The property was cute with lovely outdoor activities - corn hole and ping pong. Nice lounge chairs on the bottom level rooms. Perfect location to walk to downtown Santa Barbara. 3 minute walk to restaurants and bars! One downfall is that it’s located right next to the 101 Highway, and you can hear loud trains blowing their horn in the afternoon and evening. Luckily, the trains stop running at a decent hour, so you’ll be able to sleep peacefully. The bathroom layout was extremely small. When you take a shower, you have to push out a glass door, which then blocks the toilet. I’ve never experienced this before... even in my many years of staying in tiny hotels in Europe. It was a minor inconvenience. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves, and will be back!
