I recommend Amaru Inca
We spent 2 nights at this charming hotel, and enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very well-kept, clean, had a good WiFi signal, and has 2 beautiful patios for guests to sit in and relax. After a few hours of walking around Cusco, it was nice to sit and relax in the patio with coffee or tea. Our room was fairly spacious, in good condition, clean, and most important: the bed was very comfortable. The location was good too--a short walk to the Plaza de Armas, while several bars and restaurants were located within 2-3 of the hotel which was also convenient. Overall, the hotel was truly a bargain, and we would recommend it to other travelers

Great place to stay
Very good setting. Close to main plaza and cathedrals, museums, good restaurants. Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms a little small but on second floor beautiful woodwork and decor. First floor noisier and not as charming rooms. Nice courtyard. Very nice breakfast with eggs, breads, fruits, juices and hot drinks.

Always a pleasure
This was our second trip to Cusco; the first one being about 3 years ago. On both trips we had stayed at the Amaru Inca. We like the Amaru Inca for its charm, location and the quality of service. The hotel reminds me of a large Spanish hacienda. The hotel has two courtyards encased within its walls. All of the woodwork has been hand carved and highly polished. The hotel is located in the San Blas area of Cusco which is known for its many artisans and their shops. It is located on a hill just a short block from the famous street bordered by the remains of an Inca wall. From the balcony there is a fine view of the red tiled roofs of the surrounding buildings. It almost seems that you are in a village in Spain. But the best reason why we prefer the Amaru Inca is the service. They have a very conscientious staff, most of whom speak English. They provide laundry service, a complimentary breakfast – a very good breakfast and free WiFi. The only thing that we wish they would improve on is the temperature in the rooms. The rooms seem always a little warmer than what we find is comfortable. We always have to open the windows and turn down the radiator in the rooms to get it comfortable. On our next visit to Cusco, you can bet we’ll be back at the Amaru Inca.

Nice hotel in a nice location.
Great location as it was in the San Blas artesian area. The room was very warm even with the heater off and the window open. Still, it was a pleasant stay.
