check-in complications
good rooms, good breakfast, good service, but unable to check us in before 9:30pm!

Eyal Hotel, Jerusalem
The hotel was overbooked and I checked on near midnight and was given a smaller room than I paid for, until I was able to switch rooms three nights later. I complained to, who said I was correct I deserved a partial refund but the hotel would not give it to me and for its part would do nothing for me. I was basically cheated out of $150 plus dollars.

Shabby, dark and dated
Pros: free parking, great location, good breakfast Cons: dark, dirty, smelly, dated rooms and hallways, lots of street noise

Great location. Very friendly staff. Great value.
Stayed here 2 nights in total before and after a tour to Jordan. Got to leave my luggage with the hotel while I went on the tour which was very convenient. Check in was quick and easy on both occasions. Staff was very friendly. They were happy to give recommendations when asked and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about though. My rooms were spacious. Clean. Had a refrigerator which was convenient. The location is in a smaller street with mostly pedestrian traffic and close to everything downtown. I wanted to stay here 2 nights after my tour but only got one as the hotel was fully booked on the second night and that comes as no surprise as this hotel is great value for money. If I have to find a flaw I'd say the hairdryer is kinda outdated and weak and it took a bit long to blow-dry my hair, even though I have very short hair.
