Stuck in London but stuck good.
Unplanned stop in London necessitated a last minute hotel stay. Very nice hotel, awesome location, great staff, decent price. Kings Cross station is a block away and has everything.

Great value!
I booked the single twin room with shared bath. I slept great, the room was very clean, and the staff was awesome. Definitely would stay again next time I am in London!

Great Location - Small Rooms
We took the family to London to visit family. We decided to stay at the Princess Hotel due to its convenient location near the Kings Cross tube station. The hotel is about 200-300 yards from the station so it's very convenient to the tube. The front staff are very friendly and helpful. You have to be "buzzed" in, which can take a minute if the front staff are at the sister hotel around the corner. It was never an issue for us, but it is a bit unusual. The room itself (we got the Standard Family room) is very clean and well kept, but it is very very small (it measures about 15'x12' including the bathroom). This is a hotel room to sleep in, not a room to lounge in...If you want a fancy, sizeable room, you won't be very happy. Since we were out and about all day, it was not an issue for us. You will get some street noise if your room faces the street, but nothing too objectionable, really par for the course in my experience. They serve breakfast at the sister hotel around the corner which is a nice value (full English breakfast for 5 pounds). There is a pub less than 100 yards away that has a full menu. It was never crowded and provided a great place for my wife and I to have a "Victory Beer" at the end of the night. They even have a bar cat (Jackie) who will come over and say "Hi". If you are going to London to see the sites and don't plan on spending a ton of time in your room, this is a Great hotel in a Great location.

Excellent value in the heart of London
The Princess is one of those good finds. They sent me a welcome e-mail the day before my arrival, reminding me the hotel could offer early check in for a small amount. Since I was arriving in London in the middle of the morning, being able to check in even if a couple of hours earlier was a great deal. My expectation was the hotel be clean, safe, and comfortable. The Princess checks all three boxes with flying colors. Arriving at the hotel was easy, as it's situated two blocks from the King's Cross/St. Pancras station in central London. I was at the hotel in little over one hour after boarding the subway at the airport. Check-in was easy. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so if you have issues with stairs, request a ground or first floor room. The room was yet another pleasant surprise. It was not large by any means, but no hotel rooms are exceptionally large in London anyway. However, the room was large enough to accommodate a comfortable bed, TV, blow dryer, and the tea kettle which is de rigueur in the UK. The bathroom was also small, but modern, well appointed, and functional, with a good shower. It is worth to mention that their English breakfast was excellent. The restaurant staff was very nice, and catered to our preferences, which is surprising for such a small operation. Where I would expect indifference, I was met with cordiality and a smile. The Princess is a great deal for the money, and I will surely recommend it to friends and family.
