Tadkham Village, Chiang Mai
Great, but beds were hard.
Hotel and staff were wonderful, however the bed felt like sleeping on a granite slab! Additionally the "queen" bed was simply two twins shoved together and made up as one. I also would have liked a little better seating in the room.

Great for the price
You get what you pay for, $29 a night. The hotel was met all expectations. Large room, small bathroom, decent breakfast and extremely nice greeting when checking in and returning from a days tour of city.

Saturday Street Market gem
Quiet, serene and just 10min walking distance to the Old City, Tadkham Village is located in an alleyway. Nearby are small cafes and the best part is that it's the best place to stay for access to the chaotic and crowded Saturday Night market. The Silver Temple is also very close by. Becareful of throwing TP in the toilet. This seems to be a universal Thailand pipes issue. Our lovely staff welcomed us as we pulled up to the hotel. The open space is great for the free breakfast of eggs and ham. All you can eat fruit, beverages and toast were available until 10pm. Great place to sit back and read - with library and lots of guidebooks, flyers, magazine and travel info. Beds are firm, windows are not quite sealed, and there's "laundry"/balcony, wished there was a line to hang our clothes. Charming place to stay. The showers a bit icky and windows dusty, (same thing, seems to be common in most of Thailand).
