As with a fine bottle of wine, too young to drink.
This property has a lot of potential. Individual lodge setup surrounded by dense shrubbery and trees. Great to wake up to the sounds of birds with limited noise pollution as the nearest road is ~.5 miles away. Only downfall is that the property is fairly north as compared to others. As for areas that need improvement, the restaurant was absolutely unacceptable. There was one wait staff for all tables at that time and there was plenty of frustration throughout the restaurant waiting to order, wait for coffee, wait to order, wait for payout. Disorganized at it's fullest with food quality surprisingly low (worst food we had the entire 4 days we were in the valley), we drove 15 min south to Auberge du Soleil for breakfast every other day. Also, we had an issue with getting toothpaste sent to the room, where we were finally successful on the third attempt. Finally, the most frustrating part was that we had $4k held on credit card under pending status even though we prepaid 3 months ago. There was no explanation why so much was being held but if we did not have another card to use that weekend, it would have made for an uneventful vacation. Aside from the issues, we enjoyed our time there. Mercedes vehicles available for use was also a nice touch. Not sure if we would stay here again though as we thought the service would be better for the price paid. With a bit of a facelift in training the staff, there is potential here at Calistoga Ranch.

Romantic with personal attention
Calistoga Ranch is a gem. Private and luxurious, nestled in a forest, with friendly staff eager to please. On arrival, after a welcome glass of wine, we were taken to our room in a golf cart. There was a well stocked refrigerator, and a birthday cake for my husband waiting. We asked for milk for the in-room coffee, and a full bottle was brought right up We were upgraded to a room with outdoor deck and separate living area. The tub overlooked the forest and the enclosed outdoor shower. The spa and restaurant were a five minute walk away, or we could have called for a golf cart to take us. Dinner was a bit formal, the dining room is for guests only. The food delicious. When my drink was too sweet, they remade it Twice until it was just right! We ate breakfast I our room both days; it arrived quickly and was warm. There are hiking trails on the property. The outdoor hot tub, part of the spa, overlooks a stream. We didn’t use the swimming pool, but it is large, well kept, with food service available. This is a perfect place for a romantic delicious (pricey!) stay!!

Perfect location if you want to relax in peace
The location is like a secret place on the valley side and feels more like you are in the mountains in Tahoe. All rooms are separate and perfect for your privacy. With the little wooden buildings it is an understated luxury with a perfect natural touch. You can sleep without any noise, no traffic, no noisy machines, no unnecessary lights. The front porch had too much on it so it wasn't easy to get around, but it was relaxing once you did.d Directly from the resort there are short hiking trails with great view. Reception and staff are pros, fast and good prepared for your arrival. The pool is the place. Excellent service and great views.

Amazing Property and Fantastic Service
Amazing property and the service is second to none. Located to great wineries and award-winner restaurants. Be sure to check out the greenhouse, and the animals. Also, the lodges are extremely spacious and the outdoor showers are amazing. Looking forward to going back

Waterfalls and chicken soup!
This property is absolutely gorgeous. The waterfalls were flowing too which gave it an even more luscious feeling. The property is very spread out so you have great privacy but they also delivered everything very quickly which was surprising given the distance they have to cover! The restaurant was especially accommodating. I was very sick with a cold unfortunately but the chef made me a special chicken soup which was very kind. 5 star service for sure! And the tagliatelle was the best I've ever had in my life.
