Hotel Relief Namba
Clean rooms and by japanese standards, large space. The bathroom was very small and there was no counter, and the toilet was in a separate space. This seemed to be an extended stay hotel as there was a sink and hot plate and some closet space. The morning buffet was in a lovely, simple room and while not fancy or elaborate, it was a good meal with enough variety and tasty, fresh offerings at a great price 1200 yen. Location was convenient and there werr lots of ramen shops, etc... in the area. Staff were frind,y and helpful. The lobby and check in area is the smallest i have seen.

Great local , close to JR train and local markets
Easy walk from station, local to everything . Had a cooking plate in room but no cutlery , knifes etc . Which was a shame as we love to buy local fruit and cut up . Not tea or coffee . Cool water drinks in foyer on arrive which was really nice. Very helpful staff. Try the local little food . Really nice and cheep .

Convenient location for tourist daytrips
Several daytrips (Koyasan, Nara, Himeji too but less direct) leave from Namba so I chose this hotel because it is about a 10 min walk from Namba. The neighborhood is a little more rundown and not as nice as other areas in Osaka (moved here from Kita) but not unsafe or anything. Hotel itself is comfortable but relatively average. Did have a great Japanese hot tub/spa, decent buffet breakfast, and fast wifi. Staff's English is good enough to help some but not great enough to go above and beyond.

Nice size room and bed for Namba, Osaka
it was walk distance from Nankai train station, but I took a taxi. it was about $6.Many restaurants(inexpensive places), supermarket, and a public sauna/spa. comfortable bed and good air conditioning. they had all I need for that night.

Our toilet had a very unpleasant smell and the bed was very hard. Did not get a good night's sleep at all!
