Great people, nice place.
There is nobody in the 1st floor so you need to go upstairs to communicate with the person in charge. My room was a private one for a single person. There are two shared bathrooms for bathing and several toilets. The bathing bathroon on the second floor is better in my opinion. You can use the refrigerators to store your food. The people in charge are the friendliest of Japan, always ready to help. The hotel is under construction (03/2016) but pretty soon it would be a better place. For the price (30 Dlls a night) definitely worth it.

Genuine Warmth and Memorable Experiences
If you stay at this hotel, you should know what you're getting into. It's messy, dilapidated, and lacks much in the way of comfort. However, the host and hostess (Toshio-san and Kimiko-san) will treat you like a visiting relative. When you arrive, they always seem both happy to see you and concerned about your well-being. They're happy to talk with you, and the guests from countries around the globe tend to form a happy unit in the kitchen. If you just want a place to sleep, you'll miss out on a lot of what this hostel has to offer. Do yourself a favor and introduce yourself to some people. If the hosts throw a party, show up! You'll get an experience you could never buy at a 3000 dollar hotel.

The owners were very helpful and personable as were the guests and staff. A traveller with less flexible standards may find this place somewhat trying.
