Wear Shoes
We stayed the week and selected it based on price & free parking. My wife's conference was downtown and it was an hour commute. The room was good for what it's worth, but no micro, fridge, bath shelves, sink stopper, or hair dryer. We had to wear shoes because the carpet turned our feet black. The staff were AWESOME, which helped. Cleanliness was our greatest concern. For the price I could wear shoes in the room, esp. for Chicago.

Average
Basic motel. Great location for the price if you don't plan on being in the room all day or staying for very long. Pillow cases had spots on them and the toilet seat moved around. Other than that the staff was nice and the place was surprisingly quiet at night.

One-night non-meaningful stay
I was needing a night out of the house and this location was what i needed. Nothing fancy, but a great crash-pad with a nice bed, cool AC and very nice bathrooms (I am a little judgmental here.) Only downside was the size of the towels.... just wish they were a bit larger.

You get what you pay for....hard bed, the smallest "bath" towels known to man and no garbage can in the room.

Very Basic
We booked the hotel because it was affordable and our usual places were booked solid or charging double and triple the usual rates. So we ended up at Roadway Inn. The hotel staff was nice enough--but housekeeping was knocking on our door at 10:45 AM to remind us check out was at 11. The facility has a lot of deferred maintenance that needs to be addressed. The glass in my window was literally coming out of the frame. The faucet in the sink was loose, and the TV did not get a cable signal. But if you need a really basic room (like Motel6 before they rebranded and revamped), then this is fine. I would not stay here again out of choice.
