An okay stay
The cons: - Outside of the bungalows, everything looked a little messy. Specially the lawn and the office. - No WiFi in the bungalows. - Breakfast was expensive and not good at all. The pros: - The staff is very friendly and willing to help with everything. We're very thankful for that and this is definitely the differential of this hotel. - Bungalow is as comfortable as you'd expect. Nothing to complain, nothing surprised us.

Our stay on Easter Island
Carolina is a very nice person but we did not see much of her. We only saw her very briefly, for about five minutes, around 10 a.m. each day when she brought bread. Otherwise, there was no one there, just the guests. The island was celebrating its annual festival and we believe that this took up a lot of her time. The idea of cabanas is appealing but they could be significantly improved with very little effort: i.e. hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, a soap dish, a cupboard with hangers to hang clothing, a tea towel etc. etc.; the set up is extremely basic. The shower is dangerous when the tiles get wet. This could solved by providing a shower mat. WiFi worked intermittently and there was only one fan. No air conditioning with weather over 30C and humid. We were not picked up from the airport upon arrival as arranged but fortunately we met her husband by accident at the airport and he drove us to the cabanas. We rented a car for three days - it is impossible to get around the island without one and the walk into town is convoluted, lengthy and tiring, especially in the heat and given the state of the roads and sidewalks. If you are going to own and run a hotel, then you really need to give it your full attention and commitment, and take care of your guests.

Lovely, family run hotel with charming, individual cabanas. They provided great information and helped me plan my trip. Be aware that you must bring cash (USD or CLP), as they don't take credit cards. There is a limited amount of cash you can withdraw each day from cash points, and the cash requirement came as a surprise to me. They were wonderful about providing information so I could call my bank and arrange a transfer. But it is better to go with cash up front. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The island, the people and the accommodation were all amazing.
