Nice room
Great room, clean, quiet and nice view. However there was no one at check-in. The manager sent code to get in front room and bedroom and number to call if help needed. I called twice and got message and no answer. I was a little concerned about this later, because although my calls were trivial issues such room temperature control, tv, what if there was a real problem no staff to help. Parking is a nightmare in this area. There is limited spaces and yellow lines every where. Steep stairs. No lift in the hotel. So not suitable for elderly or people with disabilities or walking issues. Steep stairs. However overall experience good.

Less "Fab", more "OK, with some issues"
Overall a good stay in Room 1, which is the superior king size bed in the downstairs and we went away having enjoyed our stay... just about. However, compared to other B&Bs, we encountered noticable drawbacks that would probably not see us stay there again: a) the massive drawback to Room 1 itself is that there is no sound insulation so you can hear everyone coming in and out of the property. As you can imagine at night between 11pm and 1am this is a lot of people. b) because the hotel is "host-less" ie no members of staff on site, some guests were abusing this a bit. A group of guys were drinking in the "breakfast room" for 2-3 hours one evening, being very loud and drunken, and as there was no-one on site to tell them off, this carried on. c) the breakfast is continental, and in-personal. Essentially you turn up downstairs between 8.30am-10am to find some pastries in a bowl and some juice. Come down too late and you might find most of these all gone (one morning there was no juice and few pastries left). d) we had very limited wi-fi in Room 1, there was also only a communal fridge, and because of the above issues we wouldn't have felt comfortable leaving food/drink in there for when we were out. Despite this, the room itself was well equipped, comfy and the decor excellent (although there were signs of neglect creeping in). We enjoyed our stay, despite the issues, but the issues were numerous and would absolutely definitely put us off from returning again.

Lovely quirky decor and good location
Overall our experience was good. We really liked the quirkiness of the decor. I think that the level of communication needs to be improved though, eg we were not advised what time breakfast would be available from/to or where it was to be held. Breakfast was continental - which was fine, but with a limited choice of pre-made rolls (albeit good quality) and some danishes. Breakfast would have been improved greatly with the inclusion of hot beverages. We would stay there again though.
