Double-Six Luxury Hotel, Seminyak

he is possibly the best hotel in the area. The rooms are very spacious and the amenities are excellent. I recommend that you get an ocean view room. You will not be disappointed. The service provided was top notch and there was nothing too big or too small for them to handle. Thank you to the awesome staff. One area that was different and surprisingly excellent was breakfast. It is not a buffet as some might expect. It is al a cart but there are selections to meet nearly every taste. Throughout our stay we tried several different options and were not be disappointed and neither will you. The service was great and the staff was always friendly. They would always ask if you had any food allergies to ensure that their guests were taken care of. The butler service and room service were excellent as well. One problem we had was how damp everything seemed to be. Come to expect that in a tropical high humidity climate. But we asked if they had a de-humidifier to possibly make things a bit more comfortable. One was brought to our room with no issues and helped tremendously. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The people, location, amenities, rooms, food all all first class.

A convenient location on an uninspiring beach (lots of plastic waste around) but somewhat soulless maybe due to the wet season tourist drop off. The area occupied by the hotel is limited so little space is on offer (ie no garden area). If you get a room facing onto the beachfront bring your ear plugs as the sunset beats from the beachside operators continue to midnight. We changed our room to avoid this but lost the part sea view! The breakfasts are served to order unlike some other Seminyak beachfront hotels which offer a wide variety of buffet options which allow you to move around and choose random breakfasts. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff friendly ("mind the step"! - go there and you'll find out). The first floor Italian restaurant is pretty good and we had a number of meals there - ask for the buy one get one free drinks option which makes it a good deal especially if you're buying by the bottle. The lower priced WA wines (sauv blanc / cab / cab merlot) are drinkable. I wouldn't put it in the "luxury" class as their name pretends but it delivers so as not to disappoint. There are other less expensive options close by so shop around to see what deals are being offered.

We had planned to spend a little extra for the end of our holiday in Bali and book one of the penthouse suites at the Doible Six. Upon arriving, our room wasn’t available on check in. It seems petty to be annoyed we waited an extra 30min to get into our room but when you’re paying close to $50 an hour for your room, little things like this start a snowball effect. Our room was ‘ok’ for a penthouse suite. Although places we’ve stayed throughout Asia for 1/3 the price were better facilities and nicer. Our room absolutely stunk of off cigarettes each day, which was never sorted or acknowledged. I’d have to say the only reason we enjoyed any of our stay here was because of the general staff. Always happy and smiling. The double six does offer a lounge for departing guests waiting for flights which was good with complimentary beverages and a few snacks. I think this was the best perk of the hotel, although it’s open to all guests. I feel that for what we paid for a penthouse suite was nowhere near the standard we’d expected. Coming from the previous hotel on the same trip, which was less than half the price was far better and a lot better value for money in our opinions. Overall... great staff, but the hotel is overrated for its price tag.

We stayed in the ocean front suite and were moved from third floor to fifth floor on our request after first day. Views from the fifth floor room were stunning. The room itself is very well designed in spite of no luggage storage space.room has a huge balcony which with great views and full glass windows in case u want to get the full sea view from ur bed or couch. Mood lights in room too. Top end butler service. They also allow for free baby crib and lounge access for late flights after check out although we didn’t use it. Food and service was very nice. Pool is great with good pool side bar. Do request for fifth floor rooms or rooms with better views if booking the ocean view suite. Also there will be some music from the beach shack across the hotel specially when sitting in balcony. The hotel has a nice rooftop bar where our experience as terrible for two consecutive days with reservation and tables not been allotted in spite of them being empty till we left 2 hours later. Apparent trick to just keep the better tables for prospective customers but leave s bad taste when they are not allotted even after agreeing to whatever the spending requirements are. Would be wrong to judge the hotel on t though as every thing else and the entire staff was very helpful apart form the rooftop terrace staff.

A very good location and the ocean view suites look great and the beds are so comfortable. I really liked the pool . The staff were amazing and they were so nice and helpful. The only horrible thing was the moldy smell of the room and the A/C not controlling the humidity in the room.. After the first night , I called the staff to complain about the moldy smell in our room and the terrible humidity level in the room.(The bed felt wet) They sent us someone with an device for an aromatic smell to help with the smell. It didn't help. They sent us a dehumidifier for the room. It wasn't enough as it had a small tank for the water. It switches off automatically when the tank is filled (not more than 2 hours). I read the reviews ( too late , I know) and found out some customers complained in September and the management replied they are fixing it. I was there In April and the problem still there. It's a shame they have this huge and awful issue. It could have been a great and flawless experience.
