Great kai, cheap drinks
The kai was absolutely amazing but a bit pricy. The staff were awesome, very friendly and down to earth. The hula bar was cheap with friendly service and mean sounds. So if your on a budget and want the above this where to stay.

No consideration for people paying to stay there
The only positives are the proximity to the airport and the rooms. Otherwise it has nothing going for it and I wouldn’t recommend it. - When I arrived in the afternoon the pool area was heaving with noisy kids/teenagers who didn't appear to be under any supervision. I would have liked a swim but I wasn’t going to as it would have been quite intimidating. As there weren’t that many rooms the kids obviously weren’t staying there. - There was a lot of shouting in the corridor outside my room, people running up and down and doors banging, which went on until about 7.15pm. It was like being in a zoo. - I went to dinner at 7.45pm. There was a function on. I was told I could only eat from the set menu - not a big problem. I then discovered that the only free tables were outside and it had started to rain. The barman sarcastically told me he couldn’t control the weather. I wasn’t impressed with his attitude. I had to go out and started walking towards the town. The road wasn’t well lit and I wasn't at all happy. After about 45 minutes I found an acceptable restaurant. I wasn’t going to walk back again so got a taxi. - The beach bar wasn’t far from my window and it was fairly noisy. I decided to take a sleeping pill to ensure a decent night's sleep. The hotel seems to care more about outsiders than the people who pay to stay there overnight. The noise levels were awful and it’s pretty bad if you can't even have dinner there but have to go out and pay for a taxi.

We had an overnight stay here on the night we arrived in Rarotonga and were quite satisfied with the stay. Best part was that the room was air conditioned, was very close to the airport (easy walking distance... 2 minutes on foot), and had breakfast included. Location-wise, there are other areas on the island that are nicer for a longer stay.

Unfortunately my low rating is purely based on the room we received. Can I please advise people to specifically request they do NOT get Room 12 or Room 13. They are converted storerooms that are rather uncomfortable. We nicknamed Room 12 'the Tomb' but that doesn't even go into how noisy the room was. I think I managed approximately 3 hours of broken sleep the first night, which was terrible as I had some very important business to do the following day. Thanks goodness we only had a short stay there and moved to far superior accommodation soon after. I just think a little bit of honesty about ALL the rooms on offer would go a long way - as I know the seaside rooms are very nice to stay in, which is what you'll see advertised on line. Very accessible to the airport was the main advantage.
