Kilbree House, Galway
Mediocre place but very reasonable
Good location - beds were comfortable - shower is very tiny and undesirable. Breakfast was of poor quality with old fruit and bread - eggs were mediocre.

Kilbree House, Galway
A most pleasant stay in Galway's suburbs
The Kilbree House was a most pleasant B&B! The room was quite comfortable, the interior of the house was beautiful and well kept, and the hosts were gracious and charitable. For example, they offered us homemade banana bread leftovers as a snack on our daily trip to the Cliffs of Moher. Additionally, they kindly made us sandwiches as well for our day of depature. Again, truly charitable. Each breakfast was freshly made. Some of the best pudding and wheatgerm bread we've ever had. Placed a bit north of town, it's about 20 minutes to get to Galway city centre. That said its about 5 minutes walk south of NUI of Galway campus sports fields, and the main river of Galway. As you come out to the river, you immediately see the southern face of Menlo Castle, in all its ruinous beauty. You can walk a trail along the length of the river into Galway (45 minute walk). Overall, the amenities were excellent, and the hosts far too kind. Although you aren't right down in the city centre, it's a great location to spend your vacation or holiday.
