Main lobby worlds apart from the room
The main reception area was fantastic. The gentlemen at the desk were accommodating and thorough. When I was sent across the street to the complex.. it was a bit digy. You had to walk up narrow, kinda iffy stairs. The room could’ve used ventilation or Febreeze, as it smelled of gym socks. The beds were bunks withtwi mattresses. Fine for the money.

It's a nice/new hostel with a terrible staff
The stay wasn't so bad, despite a few discrepancies, but it IS a hostel, and I AM rating it based on the quality of my overall experience. I don't want to go into too much detail because the last time I did, a member of the staff, Marc, berated me via email, which I just found out about (since it was in my clutter). I will be following up with Hotels.com, as they were my booking agent, and I feel that they should definitely know when their clients are being harassed, demeaned, and berated in correspondence that has their name attached to it.

Terrific hostel, in the heart of old city Philly. Great basic service, EXTREMELY clean and well-maintained, very safe, convenient location near major attractions, close to transport. If you’re budget traveling and just need a good place to sleep, this is it.

Just Ok
It was in a nice location and the staff was nice. You get what you pay for, the reservation said it came with breakfast, but they do not service it on weekdays, it did not say that. Besides that it was ok.
