For what it was not bad. Not a 5 star but what do you expect in that area. Bathroom had tons of mold. But overall for price not too bad

Safe in the middle of nowhere
We had a very pleasant stay at Olancha. The staff was very friendly and available to answer our numerous questions about the area. We choose to stay in a tipee, very clean, comfortably cool despite the outdoor temperature. The beds were comfortable made with good linen. A comfortable rustic experience.

Pleasantly Surprised
The accommodations were good. The staff was very friendly. Just keep in mind that the hard billeted units like the one I stayed in was (I think) a converted double wide trailer. The exterior was so so but the interior was nice. It was definitely remodeled. The AC was cold, vital in the desert heat. Parking was right outside the unit. If you are staying there in order to hike Mt. Whitney, like I did, it’s about a 45 min drive to the trail.

Ohhhhhhlancha!
This place is awesome. Friendly staff, clean room, hot water, good water pressure. We stayed in the queen suite and absolutely loved it. The view of the mountain and sunset was spectacular. We only stayed one night but freaking loved it and would definitely stay again

New Experience
My daughter and I stayed in one of the tipis. It didn't velcro close all the way but with no unwanted critters coming in it was fine. Pool was refreshing after a long hot drive, homemade food was delicious. Very hardworking folks running the place. I would definately stay again.
