Good atmosphere but bad bed, rude front desk.
1. Check in was good. The lady was nice. Check out was not. Different person. Asked for a bottle of water and was denied. The restaurant also did not serve a glass of water. Had to buy from outside. 2. Pool was good. The drinks were expensive. 3. hotel is old but if you like antique stuff you will like it there. a lot of use of wood was nice. 4. close to beach. has nice restaurants close by. 5. One of the beds had bad spring. so had to use single bed.

Definitely would stay here again
Happy with this hotel, we stayed four nights. Clean and comfortable. Good location and within walking distance of massage, food, beach, shopping. AC good, beds average comfort for Asia. Our rooms were a long walk from front of hotel though. We were all the way at the back of the resort. If I stay again, I will ask for a room closer to the front. We had a pool access room and a deluxe room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Never Ever!
Seriously if this property wasn't located where it is... It has nothing going for it other than cheap deals. We were so-called getting a special deal of the original price being about SG$95 and deal price about $SG$45+. For Thailand, I have come across beautiful hotels in SG$50 even being the original price. I would never consider paying 95 for this! Exceptionally old and the bathtub was dirty, the drains were very likely not maintained and the water took a while at the sink to drain. To make it worse, I kid you not that I could hear bugs inside the mattress... Like mosquitos were not enough! Breakfast was average and reception staff was not at all helpful even if I was willing to upgrade and pay more or downgrade and not ask for the difference for just a cleaner room! We were with a 1year old baby and checked out because we found the condition unacceptable even for ourselves, so definitely couldn't put my little one through bug bites along with mosquito bites. We were there only for a night and decided to check out the next morning. We stepped out to have breakfast and put the DND as we did not want the staff to clean but when we got back, they went in anyway realizing no one is in because the rooms have sliding glass doors. Only saving grace, the staff during check-out was polite and agreed to refund one out of the two nights remaining.

Out for a quick buck
I generally do not write reviews, but what happened to us at the end our our stay was so appalling, I could not rid the bad taste. Check In: We booked a one night stay for a late evening arrival before moving onto our next reservation the day after. There was no problem checking in as there seemed to be someone at the front desk at all hours. Property: Past the entrance you will see two large pools, open to six blocks of rooms. Overall the property is clean, but definitely outdated. It may have been the hottest resort on the block 10-15 years ago, but by today's standards, it is a good budget option at best. Room: We ended up with a pool view, which opens back the pool directly. The room itself was spacious, had an extra pull out bed, and the shower was just a compartment in the bathroom separated by a curtain. Again feels outdated. Each room has its own set of beach chairs and patio by the pool. If you do not have a pool view, it is separated by a walkway and may or may not have a fence. Service: We did not get a late check out, but at least they did allow us to leave our luggage with them, to pick up later. As we were leaving we asked if they had any water, and they had the nerve to tell us to go buy it from the restaurant on their property. Only thing is that the water cost 60 baht. No thanks. We walked down the block and got a bottle for 7 baht at 7 Eleven. Small things from a service (that you pay for) can make an experience, but in this case it broke ours.
