Phuket Kata Resotel, Karon

1. Check in was good. The lady was nice. Check out was not. Different person. Asked for a bottle of water and was denied. The restaurant also did not serve a glass of water. Had to buy from outside. 2. Pool was good. The drinks were expensive. 3. hotel is old but if you like antique stuff you will like it there. a lot of use of wood was nice. 4. close to beach. has nice restaurants close by. 5. One of the beds had bad spring. so had to use single bed.

Happy with this hotel, we stayed four nights. Clean and comfortable. Good location and within walking distance of massage, food, beach, shopping. AC good, beds average comfort for Asia. Our rooms were a long walk from front of hotel though. We were all the way at the back of the resort. If I stay again, I will ask for a room closer to the front. We had a pool access room and a deluxe room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel maybe a tad tired but good value for money. Staff amazing. Only slight negative is breakfast is quite basic but you won't starve. Good location

The location is excellent, the beach can be accessed by crossing the road, there are lots of restaurants around the hotel, which provide good food with reasonable prices.

Friendly staff but rude manager at reception. No porter or bell boy to assist with luggage.

Overall my stay was good. It was hard to communicate with receptionist as they do not speak English or understand it, which is odd for hotels. Staff is friendly and nice. Clean rooms but breakfast was bad. So I don't recommend eating at the hotel.

Really nice stay and I enjoyed staying here very much. The hotel was a bit quiet in mid August which always guaranteed a quiet swimming pool. Room was brilliantly situated beside the pool. 100m -200m from the beach, would defo have stayed here again, in fact I came back to Kata beach and booked a higher standard of hotel and instantly regretted it!! If you can get out of bed in time, the breakfast is worth trying again...

This resort was good for the price. The staff in the breakfast room where lovely. The swimming pools are nice and the beds comfortable. The only problem was the incredibly loud noise from the frogs around the resort. I had to sleep with ear plugs.

Really loved our stay at this resort , location great close to beach 5 mins walk, close to shops and dining . Pool lovely , clean room , and everywhere around the hotel grounds , breakfast very good lots of variety . Would stay again on next trip .
