Great Staff & Value At Cyclo D'Angkor
A hotel's staff can often make or break your impression of a hotel. Cyclo D'Angkor benefits from having a group of very gracious, attentive young people working there. We really felt well taken care of by Chorvy, Theara, Rita, and the rest of the crew, who were always kind, and ready to help us, with a smile. They arranged to have their driver Dara, take us in their AC van, on an impromptu tour we made up - to the Nat'l Angkor Museum, the Museum of Textiles, Theam's House Gallery - a large, beautiful asian-style home with many rooms of antiques and objet's d'art, and Neary Khmer Restaurant - (their Amok with fish is very good). After a full day of boiling at the temples, this was a welcome respite from the heat. The hotel is beautifully decorated, but the main floor isn't air conditioned, so we took some meals in our room, where the AC worked very well, as did the Wifi. The food was OK - there are better restaurants in town, but there is room service until late. There's also a spa at the hotel, with a very good masseuse named Sitha, and ground-floor and rooftop pools. Overall, we found the Cyclo D'Angkor to be a very good value, and we'd stay there again.

This hotel was a lovely, quiet oasis on a busy street. Peaceful and tasteful interior. The staff was eager to please and so willing to help get a tuktuk and translate. Vathna and Chhorvy in particular were wonderful at greeting me every time I entered and asking how my day was. Decent variety at breakfast, though the food was less Cambodian than catering to the Chinese tourists. Plenty of fresh fruit and smiling professional service.

Please stay here!
I loved my time at Cyclo. The staff is incredible, welcoming and helpful. I looked forward to coming ‘home’ and talking to the staff after exploring Siem Reap. The room was comfortable and the perfect place to relax after walking all day at Angkor Wat. The pools were lovely and inviting. My bathroom did smell like cigarette smoke here and there but I turned the fan on and it quickly went away. The location is a bit of a distance from the heart of Siem Reap, but I welcomed the separation and quiet. Plus, you can take a $2 tuk-tuk into Pub Street if you’d like to experience it. It’s close to the restaurant Mahob - my favorite dining experience in Cambodia. (Make sure to eat and also take a cooking class there.) Note, when you book a tour of Angkor Wat through the hotel, and want to learn the history, inquire about hiring a tour guide. I had an awesome tuk-tuk driver but didn’t learn much along the journey. I highly recommend this hotel.
