Feels more expensive than it is.
Fantastic hotel. Very clean (as far as I could tell, all new linens every day). Rooms were comfortable. Great staff - they set up several tours for us, drove us to museums and the airport in the hotel van, and were very accommodating and friendly. Hotel restaurant was consistently good - had breakfast, lunch and dinner at one point during our trip. Breakfast is a buffet that's a little pricey - $150 pesos - but they do have an American Breakfast of eggs, fruit and coffee for $80 pesos - but you have to ask about it. Still, good food and service if you're too tired after seeing ruins to go look for another restaurant. To sum up - secure, very clean, well-run hotel. Will definitely stay there again.

Comfortable tourist/business hotel
one week stay in Dec. 2015 after bar noise chased me out of first reservation in Centro. liked this place for cleanliness, good breakfast (~$10 USD), and relative spaciousness of the Paseo. the way the hotel could improve is by providing refrigerators in the rooms so at least guests can have cool drinks given the hot climate. bigger pool would have also been nice, but admittedly too late to do anything about that now. oh yeah, several staff have excellent English from being veterans of the hotel industry in Cancun or living in the States.

I booked a room that was advertised as having a mini bar, fridge, and seperate tub and shower. It had none of these, and the desk clerk just shrugged and said one wasn't available. The next morning we went to check out and catch the free airport shuttle, and were told there was a problem with the van and we would need to take a cab. At no time did they call our room and tell us there was a problem, but finally agreed to pay the cab, as if they had a choice.

Inexpensive option on the Paseo
Well-located and at a good price, this hotel is fine for a night or two. But with so many charming hotels in Merida that are also well-priced, if you are looking for something more authentic, you might look elsehwere. It's a sterile enviornment, you feel like you are sleeping in an office building. But it has what you need for a mid-range hotel, and for being on the Paseo, you can't beat the price we paid of $50 US. The breakfast buffet was nice as well.
