The Expedia booking details were incorrect, with a wrong picture of the room I booked. So it turned out to be smaller with less space, no chairs etc. the details said 'room with a view' but I don't consider a brick wall 'a view'. The room smelled, and the bathroom smelled of drains. The TV was an old cathode ray TV balanced 10 feet off the ground on top of a wardrobe. Not all channels worked. the bed had no headboard, and as there were no chairs the only way to watch TV - if you could see it from that distance - was to lie prone on the bed. The hotel details say there's a lounge/bar. there isn't. WiFi wasn't working in the rooms either. the reception area reeked of smoke - a bad advertisement for a hospitality establishment which are supposed to be smoke free.
I complained after the first night (who wouldn't) and the management offered me another room, if I paid extra! The manager was defensive and wanted to blame Expedia. I decided to leave, but he refused to refund the two nights remaining.
