Great property and perfect stop for the night as we were visiting the Glacier Lagoon. The continental breakfast was good and the staff was accommodating when there was an issue with our room. They addressed it quickly. We were able to see the Northern Lights the one night when we drove ten minutes away from the hotel. The hotel is homey feeling and felt safe with all of the COVID measures in place. Would highly recommend!

Great location for a one night stop. Reception/bar/restaurant were great after a long hiking day. Room was big and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

You’ll never use the word ‘charming’ at Fosshotel. It’s clean, modern, and beautiful, but acts like a business hotel. The staff couldn’t have put me off more with their comments and lack of welcome ness. Virtually no pictures in the room, and a Bathroom design stolen from a Hospital, it really felt stark. The space was good, and even the bathroom had one of the only counters I had in Iceland. The restaurant was very good. Again the staff was ‘off’….one worker moved so slow we watched her to see if she was playing a joke. Check in guy said, ‘your room is unavailable but I have an identical room’…what?!! Why tell me this? When the internet kept going on and off, I asked another front desk guy and he jumbled out such nonsense his colleague started walking away…no help. I think management has dropped the ball here. This could be a gem.

Property was clean, with good restaurant. Rooms were simple, no frills, but the scenery makes up for that. Totally fine place to stay in the area.

Great property in a very beautiful location. The design of the hotel is unique in that it tried not to detract from the surrounding beauty of the landscape. Make sure you get a room on the back of the hotel to be able to enjoy the long views versus a parking lot. Rooms are on the small side and a bit noisy. Restaurant is excellent and provided one of the best meals we had on a 2-week trip.

In general a good hotel. Breakfast is decent. Parking is a little crazy at night. I was traveling with friends, I did email them to confirm the rooms I booked would have 2 separate beds, however when we checked in they gave us rooms with one double bed. We were in too much of a time crunch to try and fix this, but it was a little annoying.

We were stranded last week when the road to our original destination was closed. Fosshotel happened to be right there and we were thankful for such great accommodations for being snowed in. The only thing I would have liked to see was a refrigerator; although they may have them in other rooms.

Big hotel with bar and restaurant.Nice views from the rooms, close to glacier tours and diamond beach. (suggestion, make your dinner reservation first thing when you checking in, because of lots of guests and no other dining options around, spots booked very fast). Good food, good stay.
