Hard to find, then mostly ok
Make sure you know where this hotel is, as no one else seems to. It is at Merced 54, not where Google Maps currently places it, nor is the address that Hotels.com lists useful. While the back of the hotel faces Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins, at the moment on that side at ground level there is a boarded up first floor retail store. The entrance to the hotel is on the opposite side, on Merced. While the hotel has been recently built or renovated, they put in stone flooring everywhere, making it a very noisy hotel (plus the streets here are noisy). You can hear everyone else's phone ring and whining kids. And the shower faucet was plumbed incorrectly - have to turn toward C to get it warm. Breakfast was ok -- lots of juices and pastries, some cereal, selections of meat and cheeses. Nothing hot except for coffee and toast. No eggs.

Good location but wrong address
Hotel is comfortable enough, in a nice area in Santiago. Staff were helpful at all times. Breakfast was very poor in variety and there wasn't even scrambled eggs in most of my 5 mornings there, just once. Door system is funny and doesn't lock normally so twice I had guests from other rooms opening my door and waking me up; felt unsafe and disturbed. In addition, it took me 30 minutes to finally find right address. It's not the one on hotels.com. It's behind the avenue on the booking: Merced 54.
