Tokyu Stay Shimbashi, Tokyo
The best hotel in Tokyo for the price.
My favorite hotel In Tokyo. Located 3 minutes to all the train stations. No rowdy tourists. Thick doors and walls. Lots of great restaurants and bars close by.

Micro-hotel in an amazing location!
When my wife and I arrived at this hotel we were a bit taken aback by the size of the room. Although we were expecting a tight fit given that it was a typical business micro-hotel located in downtown Tokyo, boy was it small. So small in fact, that the bed went wall-to-wall and one person has to crawl over the other to get into and out of the bed. Moreover, there are no closets or dressers for cloths. You simply have to put the suitcase on the desk and leave everything in it. However, after the initial shock wears off you can begin to appreciate the hotel for its positives. Specifically, it's extremely quiet, clean, and the location is just amazing. Located 5 minutes from 2 train stations and countless restaurants and bars in the really cool Shimbashi neighborhood (small alleys filled with locals and few tourists), all of Tokyo was essentially within easy reach. Bottom line: the hotel itself is a basic business hotel that is affordable, clean, and quiet, and if you can tolerate living in a glorified closet, the location will make you remember this hotel as your favorite place in Tokyo. It did for me and I will stay here again the next time I am in town.
