    Nice location, Unfriendly staff
This must be one of the best situated hotels at Phi Phi. Unfortunately, the presence of the staff don’t corrolate with the beauty at Phi Phi. The two pools are big, nice view and one has a nice poolbar with highly appreciated staff. And here it ends with hospital staff. The second day of our 6 nights stay (we had 7 nights originally, but left in fury one day before scheduled checkout) one of the cleaning personnel came with a bedsheet full of stains. We knew it was not ours becase we had not seen these stains, and no sunscreen or any cream we had could made these stains with this colour. We even tried not to have sand in our bed. So we told the staff that there must be a misunderstanding, and then her fury started. The cleaning lady said she had proof from the cameras at the hotel. We tried to be polite, but the cleaning lady and one at the reception stood hard on the fact that this was our problem. And even, if we were to blame for the stains, this is something hotels normally clean since we pay a lot to sleep at this hotel. It ended after a few days with us taking the bedsheet to a local laundry, paid 50 THB, and got it back nice and clean. This was only so the hotel would’t charge us 1200THB for a bedsheet. It was a scam from their side, trying to make us pay (stealing from us). Besides this, and very poor cleaning of the room, it has good pools, and lies close to the beach. All up for you to decide, but keep in mind that there might be a scam in one way or the other

Overall, I found it difficult to find nice accommodations in Phi Phi near the pier so this was our best bet. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. FYI 1000 baht in cash due upon arrival for damages. Cons: The room was not cleaned well, the balcony smelled like sewage, stray cats were everywhere and bother you and rub up on your legs at breakfast... ew.. the pool is open to others not staying at the hotel who can charge a minimum for a day bed or chair so it makes the pool less accessible and enjoyable for PP guests, overpriced esp relative to other places in Thailand, and a HORRIBLE bed. It was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept it. I like a firm mattress, but this felt like paper mache and concrete. My husband and I both woke up with back pain and were unable to sleep through any night. Pros: the location is great and close to the pier and everything to do, easy access to day trips and excursions, pretty beach, the view from the pool and the pool itself were well kept and beautiful, breakfast was plentiful and had many options and coffee/latte/espresso machine, and the staff was incredible. We accidentally left our camera in Phuket and the PP Princess staff (namely Jenny) worked with us and the hotel staff from Phuket to arrange getting our camera as we were on an all day snorkeling excursion. We were overwhelmed with their “above and beyond” attitude to help us and make sure we got our camera smoothly. Skip Phi Phi and take a day trip from elsewhere

Many issues with the PP Princess Hotel. The place has great potential but falls short on the execution. When checking in we had to provide 1000 THB for deposit. Not that big an issue since the advent of credit cards which is normally where that is taken care of. The big issues were the bed and bathroom. The two beds, a full and a king, both of them felt more like box spring foundations instead of actual mattresses. They were so hard that neither one of us slept on them well. It got so bad that I used the bedding for any sort of padding and comfort. When entering the bathroom, you were faced with a strong sewage odor coming from either the drains or urinal. To the credit of the hotel staff they offered to move us to another room. If we were going to stay longer we may have taken them up on that change. Their immediate fix was to pour air freshener down the drains. It didn’t really work. The shower head was so caked with minerals and calcium that less than 50% of the openings were actually allowing water to flow out. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. They need better methods of protecting the buffet food from flies and other insects. And their omelet cook, she needs to know how to make an omelet. Not just smash the eggs into the pan till ALL moisture has been cooked out. Again, potential to do well if staff were better trained to inform managers of room issues and maintenance took care of the issues. No phone in the room, how do I call during an emergency?

Excellent stay at PP Princess Resort!!
We tend to shy away from staying at resorts, however, PP Princess was an excellent experience. We were wary based on some of the reviews, but are so happy we decided to go for it anyways! We were 3 friends traveling Thailand for a week and stayed here for 2 nights. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable (1 double and 1 single bed) plus balcony (handy for when the rain hit and we didn't want to be inside). Check-in process was easy, well organized. 1,000 baht (cash only) deposit was no problem on check-in or check-out. Location was great. Pool was amazing. Staff were friendly and very helpful! We blew the power in our room one morning, went down to reception and they sent someone up immediately to fix it, no problem! All of the staff we encountered were amazing, actually! We booked a snorkeling tour in the lobby : very informative, quick and easy -- it was exactly what we wanted. And to top it off, the breakfast included was delightful! Still dreaming of that pineapple!! We later stayed at a Princess Resort at Railay Beach which received better reviews, however, we all enjoyed our stay at PP Princess a lot more! We would most definitely recommend PP Princess Resort and look forward to returning! :)

The resort is right in front of the beach, which you can walk to in 1 minute. There is a lovely pool with loungers you can use and a bar with good service. The hotel itself is not a single building but a collection of 2 story buildings similar to a university campus (on a small scale). It has a contemporary vibe and the reception area and common areas are very clean. There are a lot of cats on phi phi so be aware of this! The room itself was clean and very large, with a balcony overlooking some houses behind. The bathroom was clean and modern, with all furnishings provided. The shower water was hot if needed but it’s so hot out you never use it haha! Overall the service was excellent although the reception staff were not THE most welcoming but they get the job of checking in and out done. Breakfast was included which was a surprise for us as we didn’t realise this, it consisted of a mix of Thai and English/Mediterranean breakfast with a choice to have a fresh omelette/eggs made. Lots of juices and water were also available. Overall it was an excellent hotel to stay in, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the rooms were cleaned to a great standard and the beds were comfortable. They also provide beach towels which is a plus. Great hotel!! Loved it.
