    Final vacation destination -Portland, Oregon
The location of the hotel was great! Safe.. The hotel was very nice and clean. The only problem we encountered was the fold out sofa bed. It didn't work the night we arrived and my grandson had to sleep on the sofa. Once they fixed it my daughter slept there the following day and she found it to be VERY uncomfortable.. So the last night my grandson slept on the sofa without the sofa bed. I was surprised that the hotel did not have a full restaurant. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel for those staying in Portland.

Great place, but outlets in bathroom didn’t work. Asked front desk, they said they were on a switch. Tried every switch and still didn’t work. Really annoying not to have any outlets working in the bathroom.

Best hotel experience in a while
Awesome in every way. Location is super convenient coming off of I-5, but still in a great part of Portland for walking and exploring. Warm welcome from the front desk team, and they even pulled out a box of toys that the kids could pick some things from. Best welcome I've ever had to a hotel. The property has a nice outdoor courtyard, the indoor swimming pool came complete with pool noodles for the kids to play, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. Good breakfast included was also a nice bonus. We stay at a lot of hotels, including big high end resorts, and the Courtyard Portland turned out to be one of the most positive hotel experiences we have ever had. They know what matters and do it well.

The people above us had a dog that was whiney and it kept me awake for a while until I made a run to the bar. While they seem to keep this area pretty free of homeless douchebags, it gets bad a few blocks away...where all the decent dining areas are located. Portland has gone to crap with the homelessness issue, but this place keeps them away and we generally felt safe.
