The room was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was a disappointment. It was far too expensive for being what it is. Basically toast and yogurt. There is also no hot springs. The pictures make it seem like there is but it’s a place you have to drive to and only get 10% off. It should be mentioned in the posting.

Great location, clean and comfortable stay!
This guest house is very clean and well maintained. The location was excellent, and we lucked out with a great northern lights show in mid-Sept. Our room was on the 3rd floor, there was no shower on that floor so we went down to the 2nd floor for showers, but not a big deal (no waiting, though the inn was pretty full). The breakfast was excellent, and the house spacious and truly historic. There are many rooms and open areas to relax and read, even a yoga room in the basement. The guests were all quiet and peaceful. Shoes are removed at the entry, which helps to keep it clean. If stairs are a problem, you should request a room on the 2nd floor, an elevator goes up to that level.
