Lovely well maintained hotel. Very clean. Only concerns was that there was only one chair in the room and no closets to hang clothing. Even some hooks on the wall would work.

The rooms are freshly remodeled and they're working on the 3rd floor currently completing their renovation. The charm, location of downtown within walking distance of shopping & dining PLUS the value makes this a excellent choice for a stay.

Excellent choice of hotel for our last stop before flying home via the FCA airport. Hotel is located downtown and there are shops, restaurants and parks within easy walking distance. Although an older hotel, our room was updated, modern feeling and comfortable. Excellent bathroom amenities, friendly and helpful staff and a breakfast buffet with cooked oats, quiche, yogurt, cereals and sausage. In the afternoon, there are baked cookies and popcorn for your enjoyment. If you need bottled water, simply ask the front desk staff. Excellent decor throughout the hotel. Although we loved the location, there was street noise probably because our room was located near the front corner of the hotel. We set the AC fan to run full-time at night which drowned out the noise and we slept comfortably.

Overall we were very pleased with our experience. The staff made us feel very welcome and they were all helpful and responsive, everything was clean, and we enjoyed the hearty breakfast down in the beautiful lobby. The hotel is currently undergoing a remodel so our experience was unique in that some amenities weren’t what future guests should expect (e.g., our room had temporary paper blinds and a window AC unit because the split ductless unit isn’t yet operational, and there was a little bit of construction noise one afternoon in an adjoining room). But it’s a beautiful building and will look great once they’re done. We mentioned to the front desk clerk about low water pressure and he gave us a discounted rate, so we appreciate the focus on customer service.

Parking was not free, but also not monitored. The bar next door takes over the ‘permit only parking’ early in the evening. Friday night is drag racing night, and we weren’t aware of this… We got no rest. There was a massive amount of construction on the hotel during our stay. Hallways filled with tools. HVAC systems weren’t working at the time. Due to the remodel our outlets stopped working once they started work. The staff however, were wonderful and very helpful.

I was going to Glacier National Park and wanted to stay somewhere that was an easy drive from the park but not in the midst of all the park visitors. Kalispell Grand Hotel is an old hotel (built in 1912) that's a little less than an hour from the West Glacier entrance. The room was clean but very small, which isn't surprising considering the age of the hotel. The shower stall was very small and the water never got hot. The employees were all very helpful and even let me borrow an umbrella when it started to rain. There is parking right next to the hotel, but it's $12/night. Otherwise, street parking is available but it's metered. The breakfast was decent. They had pastry and two kinds of quiche, which is kind of a nice change of pace from most hotel breakfasts. The hotel is within walking distance of several shops, restaurants, bars, etc. My only complaint is there is quite a lot of traffic on the main street in front of the hotel. If you're a light sleeper, maybe ask if they can put you in a room away from the street.

It is a in a historic building with very well done upgrades. A great choice for someone looking for a more unique experience than a chain hotel. In close proximity to Glacier National Park. Pets allowed and the staff was very helpful / friendly.

Under renovation and not ready for guests. No fan no hooks in bath. No place to hang clothes. No room temperature available but we were provided with a portable AC unit, which meant the tiny corner available as a sitting space was blocked and which of course was loud. Our room had a direct view of a pretty dirty roof and right in to the next door room bed like inches!!! I definitely recommend an eye mask as there are only slap blinds and earplugs has the walls are thin and the doors heavy. It is a charming hotel full of quirks and we did enjoy our stay. The beds were comfortable. Good coffee and nice touches of cookies, tea, popcorn. The breakfast was the same both mornings and not very good- but several ootions.
