Agriturismo Il Porcellino, Verona
Fluvio's Verona Paradise
I must admit that I was a bit intimidated by the narrow road leading up to Il Porcellino, but whe I finally arrived I felt as if I was in Heaven. The entire B & B was spotless throughout, the view of Verona was spectacular( especially at night), and the owner embodied what an innkeeper should be. The beds were very comfortable and provided me and my family with great nights of sleep. I think I was actually dreaming in Italian The breakfast that he provided exceeded all expectations consisting of meats, cheese, freshly made omelettes and excellent cappuccino. And, of course, cereal and yogurt and fresh fruits if needed. What else could he have at this place, I wondered. Well, he raises a special type of pig and makes the best suckling roast I have ever had served with excellent and well priced wines. Whew! He also has draught beer. And as an after dinner treat for those that fancy themselves to be a good pool player, just above the dinning area is the largest pool table that I have ever seen coupled with the smallest pockets. Trust me on this one, Fluvio is the undisputed King of that monster. If Verona is within your sights, Il Pocellino should be your first choice. We love you Fluvio and we shall return. Beautiful place, greatest staff
Beautiful place. Fulvio is great; very nice and welcoming. One time we were so tired, we didn't wake up for breakfast. We were late, very late, 45 minutes late. Nonetheless, fresh breakfast was waiting for us as we came out. We didn't expect this gesture, and it was a very nice surprise! :)

Amazing B&B and food
Simply put, this is one of the best B&B stays you will ever find. It is in one of the most amazing locations, high in the hills overlooking Verona - which makes for a fantastically peaceful stay and great city views in an evening. However, the best part is how caring the staff are, and the sheer quality of the food; Fulvio and his team want to make sure you are happy with everything, and took time to give us a history and picture tour of the local area over a super breakfast of local meats and jams. We also had an evening meal here which was sublime, and at a really good price - along with some excellent (and cheap) local wines. Again all served with true care. Rooms are very modern yet traditional, impeccably clean and with good balconies and comfy beds. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Thank you to the team, and we hope to be back one day... One note of caution though - the sat nav has a habit of taking you the "interesting" way - by which I mean up a narrow and near vertical mountain path with bends that can only be taken in a 4x4. If the tarmac runs out (and by run out I mean was never there and you're driving over cobbles and through an olive grove) then TURN AROUND! Head to the south of the hill and it should find another way up.
