Keep track of the Mini Bar
This place charged me for a container of Pringles that I never opened. They charged me 10.000 pesos at checkout that I never agreed to. They never gave me the extra towels that I requested. The balcony door woul never open. I'd complain more but I am too busy stuffing my face with leftover Chinese food. I should have finished it last night but I just couldn't so here I am. The breakfast on the roof was fantastic. The shower worked great. The beds were mostly comfy. Oh, the club below the hotel is an illegal brothel. So don't go there. Even though the music from this brothel is the main complaint on reviews for this hotel. Weird. Oh well, #Colombia

Good Hotel, But Horribley Noisey
Everything about the hotel was OK except the horrible sound. it was VERY loud. Especially from 1AM - 5AM. Even on a Sunday night. If you are a light sleeper, stay away from this hotel because you will not get any sleep.

Very helpful staff

Balcones de Alhelí Hotel, Cartagena
Hotel staff was very friendly, extremely helpful (explained everything in detail), and did their best to keep us satisfied. However, as one commentator stated, the hotel is near a bar/club so we had experienced a bit of music vertebrating through the walls. It wasn't too bad-Also, the hotel is close to everything in Cartegena, which made it convenient to explore the walled city. As an avid traveler, I wouldn't book any tours through the hotel as it's usually more expensive. Usually, you can just bargain with the street vendors.
