Shinjuku Washington Hotel Annex, Tokyo
Very Good8.0
For Tokyo, good location and value.
We chose this hotel purely for it's proximity to Shinjuku station. Room was small by western standards but perfectly adequate for two of us and 4 suitcases after a bit of furniture re-arranging. This was the last stop on a much larger trip so we opted for breakfast each day in one of the five restaurants - two western/fusion and three Japanese. Hotel food was expensive but we found the Rose and Crown just across the road where good eats were half the price.

Cons: AC did not work well, including the portable cooling machine that was provided. Bathrooms were quite small. Smell of mold and mildew Only 1 english speaking channel No pocket wifi available Pros: Less than 15 minute walk to Shinjuku station Tons of eating options nearby Provided bottle waters daily

A little far from Shinjuku train station.
The entrance is hidden between buildings on the back of the main Washington Hotel, no a convenient way to carry your bags. Rooms are dated not well cleaned, otherwise are OK. Breakfast is very good with two restaurants as options, but since one is in the main building and it takes about ten minutes to reach it, we only went to the one in the first floor of the annex. We didn't like the beds. Very poor Wi-Fi .

Small rooms but nice hotel
This nice hotel is in a good location. It has a variety of restaurants. It is a stop on the airport buses to both Narita and Haneda. The major down side for my husband and me was the very small size of the room and complete absence of drawer or shelf space. It would have been okay for one person, but for two, it was pretty cramped. Still, we were warm and comfy.

Perfect accommodations for tourists.
Just what we were looking for near the heart of Shinjuku district of Tokyo. Visiting my son, needed two beds, preferred non smoking. Had to book a smoking room but the room didn't have that heavy smokers smell. No frills, but perfect for a budget conscious traveler. Within 10 walk of Shinjuku station and next door the the Metro Govt building. Quiet, good beds, and the breakfast option was well worth the slight additional cost. Enjoyable stay.
