Second time staying here, and I upgraded my room to the King Suite that’s shown on their website with the stainless steel kitchen area and two beds. I also had a balcony to myself! Their front desk employee, a young man who just started working here was very helpful! I originally booked a smaller room, but I couldn’t do it lol... so, I asked him about upgrading and he went out of his way to give me a tour of the other rooms that were available. He definitely deserves recognition for his assistance, and I’ll be back for a third visit soon!

I booked this hotel based on the incredible reviews it was given. In comparison to some other well known hotels, the price was comparable, however, upon check in, I was pretty disappointed. I do realize that the french quarter is a historic area, but the accommodations in this hotel needed updating and upgrading. There was a rust erosion on the sink, there was a tension rod holding a curtain in front of the closet, there were random painted areas that looked as though there was something trying to be hidden rather than art. The lamp on the desk didn't work and ultimately, my daughter and I ended up checking out that evening and not even staying at the hotel. To think I could have stayed at a 4 star hotel for the same price and that I took a chance on this hotel was pretty disconcerting. I forfeited the money, because we just didn't want to stay there, even for the night.

Hotel review
I loved the room condition. It was so clean and comfortable. The local area wasn't good as I expected. There's no parking available and no swimminh pool. I had to park 15 mins away from the hotel and did cost me 30 bucks per night. The hotel itself was good.

Rustic, but comfortable with great location & view
Our room was number 13 on the third floor, a walk-up. The room was spacious and had a balcony with a view of the river to the right. Everything in the room was comfortable and the hostess at the desk was very nice. The condition of the common areas is rustic with peeling paint and exposed concrete and brick, but with a lovely courtyard.

Jazz Fest Trip
Boutique hotel with a great location within walking distance of all in the French Quarter. I am not as young (64) as I used to be, but the 3 flights of stairs were still manageable after a 10k+ step-day of walking. Our only issue was 2 days the room was not serviced as I expected; however, the manager gladly took fresh towels up. This issue was self-resolved when we finally figured out that the wind was blowing the "Service Please" sign off the door handle and we found a place on the door it would stay. Another option would have been just to make sure the staff knew we wanted service. Our friend had another similar room and all of agreed we would stay again.
