The closet was fully stocked with everything I may need: tabi socks, pajamas, and yukatas. I did not have any issues with noise whatsoever—none. My dinner was an 8-course adventure that was both beautiful and delicious! Breakfast was really wonderful as well, though not served in separate courses so it's much briefer to help get the day started. And the location? Pure perfection! The best of Gion is right outside the front door. I had 2 days of sightseeing and never had to take a taxi (though they're plentiful in the neighborhood, if needed). As a solo, female traveler, I felt very safe and well taken care of. I cannot recommend this ryokan enough—and I cannot wait to come back!

My family and I had a wonderful experience staying here. We were warmly received and the hosts were thoughtful and considerate. Everything was very clean and well organized.
