Heart of Rome
This is a nice old hotel with classic Roman ambience. The front desk was very friendly and attentive. When we checked in and asked if the room was quiet, they said it was in front on the street but should be OK. If we kept the windows closed, that was true. But with them open, we got various street and restaurant noises, the absolute worst being the dumping of many glass bottles about 8a.m., and several more throughout the day. There is an elevator but it stops BETWEEN floors, so you have to carry your luggage 1/2 flight of stairs. The location was wonderful—very close to the Coliseum and many restaurants & attractions.

Best boutique hotel in Rome and so affordable!
Amazing little boutique hotel only 5 min walk to the Colloseum and very close to all other tourist sites. Many great places to eat right outside the doors of the hotel. All the front desk people were amazing. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Last minute booking
Had to leave US 1 day early to avoid hurricane and unable to get my other room earlier. Hotel Romano was close by and available. Stay was short but very comfortable.

Wonderful time in Rome
The hotel is located at a great spot! Less than a minute to the Roman Forum, and about 3-5 minutes walk to the Colosseum and the Metro B line. Many restaurants, cafe, and gelato place on the street level, and it is also close to a neighborhood that offers even more restaurants and bars. Prior to my arrival, the staff is incredibly responsive when communicating over email. And I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel after I check out. I loved my stay there. The room is comfortable, not extravagant, and it got AC too, which is great during the summer! I loved that I was able to visit Colosseum in the morning, and go back to the room to take a quick shower before I head out to visit The forum and other sightseeing spots! I highly recommend this place and will consider coming back here again!
