not for people sensitive to noise
The Location is hard to find. The rooms are large and well equipped, but the Sound Isolation of the house is not existent (from 1st floor as well as from the kitchen) The rule of nonsmoking "55 feet from the house" is ridiculous.

Off the beaten path
Perfect location for families traveling together, retreats and those who enjoy a laid back setting. Well maintained and organized, owner is on-site and very helpful. One note of use, if you are a light sleeper, this is not for you. Roosters and local dogs were active all night. Unfortunately this is not something the owner is able to control.

Lovely place!
The 10,000 foot house has nice big suites. It is about 2000 feet above the ocean and is happily cool at night. The only problem we had was that we were next to the parking/front door and the other guests rudely, late at night and early in the morning, hit their alarm/door lock car horns very often. The place is in a jungle of fruit and coffee trees. The hosts are lovely. They have a shared fridge with food left from other guests and a full large kitchen for guests to use. They have a nice inside and outside eating area. They have a TV in the lounge and a library. They shared information about a Thai meditation teacher, when they found we were interested and that was very interesting and lovely. They are attentive hosts, but not intrusive. If we could get a room away from the cars or if the driveway had huge signs asking those who don't know better to not use the honk/alarm feature on their cars, then we would love to go back there for a number of additional nights.

Nice retreat
Great retreat! Not the easiest thing in the world to find but when you get there it's nice. Very independent and comfortable.
